Micron Smashes Q4 Profit Records, Sees Bigger Quarter Ahead
Micron just gave investors a reason to smile. The memory chip giant expects its next quarter to bring in between $60 billion and $63 billion in sales. Earnings per share could land anywhere from $37.15 to $39.15. That's a serious jump from what they just reported.
The company just wrapped up its fiscal fourth quarter with a massive $37.7 billion in net income. On a per-share basis, that works out to $32.87. After adjusting for one-time items, the number climbs to $33.42 per share. Wall Street had only predicted $31.61.
Revenue came in at $54.23 billion for the quarter. Analysts were looking for around $51 billion. Both the top and bottom lines sailed past expectations. Eleven analysts tracked by Zacks got it wrong on earnings. Ten missed on revenue.
This performance shows the memory market is heating up. Demand for data center chips and AI hardware keeps climbing. Micron sits right in the sweet spot. The guidance suggests they don't see a slowdown coming anytime soon.
