Midlands brace for wet and windy night ahead

The Storm Prediction Center puts the Midlands at the lowest level on their scale, meaning severe storms aren’t a sure thing—but they’re possible. The timing helps a little since the strongest storms will hit after sunset when conditions are less ideal for big outbreaks. Still, no one should ignore the alert entirely.
