Mixed Messages: Prince Andrew's Secret Emails Unveiled
UK, LondonTue Feb 04 2025
Prince Andrew, the infamous figure, actually kept in touch with Jeffrey Epstein.
Things get complicated here. In late February 2011, Andrew sent an email to Epstein.
This email included the line, “Keep in close touch and we’ll play some more soon. "Notice the date. That’s two months after Andrew publicly declared he had ended his friendship with Epstein.
Why the delay in cutting ties? Andrew’s friendship with Epstein seemed to have a lot of layers. Andrew's email was sent on the same day a photo of him with Virginia Giuffre, who was 17 at the time, surfaced.
The email exchange shows that Andrew and Epstein had some business that needed to be settled in person.
Jes Staley, former Barclays bank CEO, was also part of this relationship.
Staley was blocked from senior management positions until 2023 due to his involvement and lies about his relationship with Epstein. Staley and Andrew were supposed to have dinner in London.
Despite the seriousness of the situation, Andrew didn’t seem too worried. He even sent another email to Epstein to confirm the meeting date, and mentioned that they’d “play some more soon. ”
The truth is that Andrew and Epstein's correspondence did not stop in 2011.
The two continued to exchange emails until at least 2015. Andrew’s actions show that he was not truthful about his relationship with Epstein.
It is important to note that Epstein is dead. He died by suicide in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking and federal conspiracy charges.
Buckingham Palace was contacted for comment, but they have not responded.
Andrew has denied all claims against him and initially claimed he had no recollection of meeting Giuffre. Andrew and Giuffre’s lawyers reached an agreement in principle to settle the lawsuit she filed against him in 2022.
Andrew admitted no wrongdoing but expressed regret for his association with Epstein. The settlement amount was not publicly disclosed, but sources claim it was more than $12 million.
Prince Andrew's actions have resulted in significant consequences. He was stripped of his military titles, royal patronages, and his HRH title.
He was also forced to step down from his role as a working royal.
