USAThu Oct 10 2024
Get ready for even more stuff to watch! Amazon Prime Video is soon adding Apple TV+ as an extra option you can pick in the app. It’s coming to the U. S. first, and it will cost an extra $9. 99 a month. That’s what Mike Hopkins, who’s in charge of Prime Video and Amazon’s MGM Studios, said at an event in L. A.
Think about it like this: if you subscribe to this Apple TV+ add-on, you’ll get all of Apple’s shows and movies, plus sporting events like Major League Soccer and Major League Baseball. Yeah, you heard right – more sports action!
The best part? You won’t need to switch apps or deal with cables. You can just do everything right from the Prime Video app. But remember, you can cancel this extra subscription any time you want.
Hopkins talked about how Amazon and Apple have been friends for a while now. They do a lot of business together. And with this new add-on, Apple gets to reach all those Amazon Prime subscribers.
There are already over 100 extra channels you can add to Prime Video. These let you get more shows and movies without juggling different subscriptions.
Eddy Cue, who’s the big boss of services at Apple, said they want everyone to have a chance to watch their award-winning shows and films. This deal with Prime Video is a big step towards that goal.
