Musk vs. Trump: A Clash Over Jobs and the Future
Elon Musk, the head of Tesla and SpaceX, has once again spoken out against President Donald Trump's massive tax and spending cuts bill.
Musk's Concerns
Musk believes this bill, which Senate Republicans are trying hard to pass, will lead to job losses and hurt growing industries.
He shared his thoughts on X, saying the bill would:
"Destroy millions of jobs in America"
"Cause immense strategic harm to our country."
He also thinks the bill favors old industries over new ones. Later, he even suggested that supporting this bill could be "political suicide" for the Republican Party.
History of Criticism
This isn't the first time Musk has criticized the bill. Earlier, he called it:
"Pork-filled"
"A disgusting abomination."
He even threatened to stop supporting lawmakers who backed the bill. Trump responded by saying he was disappointed in Musk, and things got heated between them.
Musk later apologized for some of his comments, and Trump said he didn't blame him. But now, with Musk's new criticisms, it's unclear how their relationship will be affected.
Trump's Push for the Bill
Meanwhile, Trump is putting pressure on Republican senators to pass the bill. He even criticized Senator Thom Tillis for voting against it.
The bill narrowly passed a test vote in the Senate, allowing debate to begin.
Musk's Influence
Musk has been focusing on his businesses lately, and his political influence has decreased since he left the administration. However, he has shown that he can have a big impact when he chooses to get involved.
