Mystery Assailant Shakes Up NYC Doctor's Office

A bizarre assault took place in a New York City optometrist's office, leaving the doctor with a head injury. The attacker, later identified as Eric Moneyham, a financial consultant and son of a Florida judge, allegedly sneaked into Dr. Ron Goldstein's office and punched him from behind while he was examining a patient. Goldstein suffered a gash on his head and was knocked unconscious. The assailant calmly left the scene, but not before the office staff snapped photos and captured the incident on video. Goldstein's daughter posted these images on social media, leading to the identification of the attacker.Moneyham's rampage didn't stop there. He crossed into New Jersey, where he broke into a house and posted threatening messages on LinkedIn. While in jail, he attacked two healthcare workers, causing serious injuries. Back in NYC, the NYPD initially classified the assault on Goldstein as a felony but later downgraded it to a misdemeanor. Critics argue that this reclassification is an attempt to keep NYC's crime statistics low. Moneyham is set to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.
