Nate Diaz was prepared to step into the ring again with Jake Paul. He was one of the few willing to take on a fight with just two weeks' notice. However, in the end, it didn't happen.

Jake Paul himself praised Diaz for being ready to fight on such short notice. He even called him a "G" for being willing to step up.

This wasn't the first time Diaz and Paul faced each other. Their first fight was back in August 2023. Paul won that one pretty easily.

Diaz later said he had a bad shoulder and had been partying hard before the fight. That's not a great excuse, but it's what he said.

Why No Rematch?

So, why didn't the rematch happen? Well, Diaz's performance in the first fight wasn't exciting enough. People weren't clamoring for a second round.

Jake Paul needs a big draw to get Netflix to pay big bucks for the broadcast rights. Diaz just didn't bring that kind of excitement.

It's not that Diaz didn't want to fight. He was ready to go. But sometimes, fights just don't happen. Maybe it's for the best.

Diaz might want to take some time to train and get serious if he wants to make a comeback.
