" Even when the stakes aren't as high, the daily reality of abortion in impacted regions involves constant worry: Is that online pill safe? Will anyone help if I miscarry? Medical professionals are also grappling with uncertainty: How can I treat patients without facing legal repercussions?We spoke with people working on the frontlines of abortion access. They shared their stories through texts, voice notes, videos, and images, often anonymously due to fear of retaliation. Their accounts paint a picture of a fragile system held together by determination. But how long can this last? This upcoming presidential election will be the first since the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization ruling. Voters will decide whether to curb the chaos caused by the court’s decision or continue living in a country shaped by it.
