NBCUniversal Shuts Three Big TV Shows
Los Angeles, CA, USASun Mar 15 2026
NBCUniversal decided to stop making three popular shows: Access Hollywood, Karamo, and The Steve Wilkos Show.
The company said it is changing its first‑run syndication strategy to match what local stations want.
It will still distribute existing shows and other off‑network programs, but it will finish producing new ones.
The decision comes after years of talk and entertainment content that many viewers enjoyed.
A spokesperson from NBCUniversal explained that the shows have been great for audiences, but they are winding down.
Variety reports that all three titles will keep airing until the end of summer.
Other shows on the network are also changing: The Kelly Clarkson Show and Sherri have been canceled, while The Drew Barrymore Show will stay on air for two more seasons.
These moves show a shift in how the company plans its television lineup.
It highlights that even long‑running programs can end when business goals change.
The network will focus more on content that fits local station needs and future trends.
