Netflix’s New Drama: “Apple Cider Vinegar” Unveils Trailer, Stars Kaitlyn Dever
Melbourne, AustraliaTue Nov 19 2024
One day, a YouTube video caught my eye, telling the wild story of Belle Gibson, a wellness influencer who faked a brain cancer cure. Netflix must have watched the same video because they’re turning Gibson’s story into a drama called “Apple Cider Vinegar. ” Starring Kaitlyn Dever as Gibson, the six-part show follows Gibson’s rise as she claimed to cure her cancer through clean eating and alternative medicine. Set in the early days of Instagram, the story explores the power of influence and the dangers of deception in the wellness space.
Samantha Strauss, who lived through Gibson’s rise, created the show, inspired by the novel “The Woman Who Fooled the World. ” Alongside Dever, talented actors like Alycia Debnam-Carey and Aisha Dee join the cast. Jeffrey Walker directed all episodes. With a teaser trailer already out, we’re eagerly waiting for the show’s 2025 release. Let’s see if this fictionalized take on Gibson’s story lives up to its bizarre inspiration.
