New Bus Scene in Kojima’s Next Game Sparks Casting Buzz

Sun Apr 12 2026
A fresh cast call for the upcoming game “Physint” shows that the developers are working on a scene reminiscent of the thriller film Speed. The call, announced by MP1st on April 12, says that a bus hijack is part of the story. The casting director Mari Ueda is looking for actors to play a mother with her newborn, five teens, and a German man. The German role should be intense and oddly confident, echoing Mads Mikkelsen’s performance in Hannibal.
It is not yet clear if these characters will only appear in one scene or if they will influence the game’s main plot. If they do, it would mean that Kojima is paying homage to Speed, a film he often references in his work. Physint was first mentioned at the January 2024 State of Play, but the game is still far from release. So far only a few actors have been confirmed: Don Lee, Charlee Fraser and Minami Hamabe. This new call shows that more talent is still being recruited. The details of the bus scene are intriguing because little else about Physint has been revealed. Fans are excited to see how Kojima will blend cinematic elements into the game’s narrative.
