A fresh coffee spot has popped up in Norge, taking over the old Anonymous Coffee space. Elite Coffee & Lounge, run by Jacob and Hayriye Tasci, opened its doors on November 26th. The couple, who moved from Turkey a few years back, are bringing their coffee expertise to the area. Jacob used to be a lawyer, and Hayriye was a teacher, but they both have a passion for coffee. They ran a coffee shop in Turkey before moving. Now, they're back in the coffee game with nearly 50 different coffee options. Some are international favorites, and others are unique to their shop. They also serve up homemade desserts like tiramisu, cheesecake, and carrot cake. The Tascis are all about using natural, organic ingredients. They want their customers to be happy and healthy. They're even planning a grand opening event, though the date isn't set yet. For now, you can find them at the Williamsburg Farmers Market and their shop at 7500 Richmond Road, open daily from 7 a. m. to 6 p. m. Meanwhile, an old favorite is saying goodbye. The Old Chickahominy House, a Southern comfort food restaurant, is up for sale. It's been a community staple for 70 years. The building, which is about 6, 700 square feet, is on the market for $950, 000. It could be used for a restaurant, a boutique medical office, or even a retail shop. The restaurant first opened in 1955. It moved to its current location after a robbery made the old spot too risky. The current owner, Dan Kennedy, isn't talking about the sale. But it's clear that this is a big change for the community.
