The new book, titled Power Rangers: Green #1, will arrive on August 5, 2026 and cost $4. 99 at comic shops. It is written by Paul Allor, known for his work on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and G. I. Joe, with art by Gustaffo Vargas. The story takes place in a bleak future where the planet is threatened again. Tommy Oliver, once the last Power Ranger on Earth, has retired and lives quietly with a group of outcasts. But when danger returns, he must leave his peaceful life behind and step back into the role of the Green Ranger.To celebrate the actor who brought Tommy to life, the debut issue features a special cover drawn by Juni Ba. Ba’s style is gentle and expressive, using soft colors that give the image a calm feel. The cover shows an older Tommy walking through a field, with his iconic suit hanging on a clothesline. A small dedication reads “In memory of Jason David Frank. ” The tribute highlights how the actor’s performance shaped the character and kept him popular for decades.
