Carrie Harrington Echols stepped into the role of finance director on June 15, bringing over three decades of experience in public accounting and government finance. Her background includes work across Illinois, with a focus on helping local governments handle budgets, audits, and financial planning. Before joining Kendall County, she ran her own accounting firms, advising towns and counties on how to keep their books in order.Echols isn’t new to the public sector. She grew up in Sheridan, Illinois, and has spent most of her career supporting government agencies.
