New Leader Takes the Helm at Arburg

Arburg, a well-known machine manufacturer based in Lossburg, Austria, has a new leader at the top. Dr. Volker Nilles started his role as the company's CEO on January 12, 2026. This makes the management team a bit bigger, with six people now leading the company. Dr. Nilles is no stranger to big roles. He has over 30 years of experience in leading teams in the mechanical and automotive engineering fields. He has worked in many countries, including the USA, China, and India. His focus has always been on making companies grow and change for the better.Before joining Arburg, Dr. Nilles worked at several well-known companies. He started at ThyssenKrupp, where he was in charge of buying supplies, moving goods, and making products for many plants around the world. He then moved on to Bosch Rexroth and Kleemann GmbH, where he helped the companies grow internationally. Dr. Nilles also has experience in the plastics industry. He worked at KraussMaffei Kunststofftechnik, where he was responsible for selling new machines worldwide. Most recently, he was the CEO of Humbaur GmbH, a big company that makes car trailers. The Hehl siblings, who are also part of Arburg's management team, are excited about Dr. Nilles joining. Michael Hehl said that Dr. Nilles brings a lot of experience to the table. Juliane Hehl believes that Dr. Nilles will help Arburg become even more well-known around the world.
