Among the victims were Martin "Tiger" Bech, a former Princeton University wide receiver, Reggie Hunter, a loving father of two, and Ni’Kyra Cheyenne Dedeaux, a recent high school graduate. The suspect, a 42-year-old U. S. citizen from Texas, was killed by responding officers after opening fire. An Islamic State flag was found in the truck, leading the FBI to investigate potential terrorist connections. The attack has left a deep void in the lives of the victims' families and friends.
Martin "Tiger" Bech, 27, was killed in the attack. His mother, Michelle Bech, shared that he was a successful junior bond trader in New York City and a Princeton University graduate. Ni’Kyra Cheyenne Dedeaux, a recent high school graduate, was another victim. Her grandmother, Jennifer Smith, confirmed her death to The New York Times. Ni’Kyra's mother, Melissa Dedeaux, shared the tragic news on Facebook, asking for prayers.
