Andrew Llinares, who guided Fremantle’s worldwide entertainment lineup for three years, will leave his position in spring. He has not announced a successor; meanwhile the company’s global segment will report to CEO Jennifer Mullin until a new head is found. Llinares said he wants to return to hands‑on show creation and personal creativity.
During his tenure, Llinares helped shape many of Fremantle’s hit formats. He produced five seasons of “Dancing with the Stars” and previously ran shows like “The X Factor” and “Britain’s Got Talent, ” both co‑produced by the firm. The studio also offers titles such as “Got Talent, ” “Too Hot To Handle” and “The Piano. ”
Mullin praised him as a visionary, noting his long partnership with her and his role in delivering iconic programs. She highlighted how his leadership and creative insight drove the company’s success.
Llinares reflected on his decision, describing it as tough but necessary. He praised Fremantle’s teams worldwide and expressed gratitude for the experience, while acknowledging a strong urge to dive back into content creation. He hinted that future collaborations are likely and that he looks forward to new creative projects.
