New Peace Talk Plan: US Steps In Between Ukraine and Russia

The US has come up with a fresh idea for peace talks between Ukraine and Russia. This new plan might include the US and possibly Europe sitting at the table. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy shared this update on a Saturday. Kyiv is still deciding if they like this new format. They want to see how things go in the talks between Ukraine and the US first. These talks started again on a Friday. Zelenskiy plans to talk about this with Rustem Umerov, who leads Ukraine's team in the talks.Zelenskiy didn't give many details about what the US proposed. He said the US wants to meet with Russia separately. The idea seems to be a meeting with Ukraine, the US, Russia, and maybe Europe too. On that same Saturday, US negotiators were supposed to meet with Russian officials in Florida. Ukraine and Russia haven't talked face to face since July.
