Redmi just dropped two new smartphones in China, and they're not holding back on features. The Redmi K90 Pro Max is their new top-of-the-line model, designed for gamers and people who need to juggle lots of tasks. It's powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, paired with a high-end GPU, up to 16GB of RAM, and a whopping 1TB of storage. The screen is a 6. 9-inch AMOLED with sharp 2K resolution, and it supports DC dimming and Dolby Vision for better visuals.
This phone is built to handle intense use. It has Redmi's biggest Ice-Sealed Heatsink yet, which helps keep things cool. For audio, there are dual speakers tuned by Bose, plus an extra woofer for deeper sound. The camera setup is impressive too, with a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP 5x periscope telephoto lens, and a 32MP selfie camera. It's also got IP68 water resistance and runs on Android 16 with HyperOS 3. To keep it all running, there's a massive 7, 560mAh battery with 100W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
The Redmi K90 is the more affordable option, but it still packs a punch. It has a 6. 59-inch 2K AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling. Under the hood, it's powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Elite 3nm chip, with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 50MP 2. 5x periscope telephoto lens. It also has Hi-Res audio, stereo speakers tuned by Bose, and a 20MP selfie camera. The battery is still huge at 7, 100mAh, with 100W fast charging and 22. 5W reverse wired charging.
Both phones are packed with features, but the K90 Pro Max is clearly the powerhouse, while the K90 offers a great balance of performance and affordability. It's worth considering what you need from a phone before making a decision.
