New Sports Bar Replacing Drago's Seafood in Baton Rouge

In Baton Rouge, excitement is brewing as a unique sports bar plans to take over the space left by Drago's Seafood. NOLA natives Greg Whitman and Ty Duet, the brains behind Loft18, have their eyes set on the 14, 000-square-foot building. The duo discovered the spot just as Drago's owners were looking to move. They saw an opportunity and jumped on it, buying out Drago's lease. Loft18 isn't your average sports bar. It's an interactive experience, offering full-swing golf simulators and a variety of other sports like soccer, football, and dodgeball. Hungry? They've got you covered with a menu featuring burgers, wings, and beer. The team is thrilled to bring something fun and new to the area. Founded in Metairie, Loft18 has already made a splash with locations in Texas and Louisiana. The Baton Rouge spot is scheduled to open in the spring. Drago's will be closing its doors in late January to move to a new location, which is currently unknown.
