New Studio Lights Up Woodland Hills

Los Angeles, CA, USATue Mar 03 2026
Cinespace Studios has opened a fresh production campus in Woodland Hills, bringing six sound stages to the area. The facility covers more than ten acres and is ready for big film and TV projects. The launch was announced by co‑CEO Eoin Egan during a morning press conference. He noted that the local film scene had struggled recently, but he believes the new studio will attract more productions to Los Angeles. Egan highlighted that many production scouts have already arrived, secured California State Incentives, and chosen to keep their projects in the city. This trend shows a growing confidence among filmmakers.
The California Film Commission introduced a new tax credit program in June 2025, boosting support for film jobs by roughly fifty percent. Mayor Karen Bass attended the opening and praised Los Angeles as a creative hub. She said that investing in the industry brings further investment back to the city. In May 2025, Mayor Bass signed a directive that lowered costs and simplified on‑location filming processes. This move aims to make Los Angeles an easier place for producers, complementing the new Cinespace campus.
