The goal is to make energy cheaper, more reliable, and better for the environment. The plan could create thousands of jobs. Some will be during the building phase. Others will be permanent jobs once the plants are running.Local leaders in New York are trying to educate people about nuclear energy. They want to clear up any wrong ideas. Assemblyman Scott Gray has been leading these efforts. He hosted forums with nuclear experts. The project could bring a lot of benefits to the area. Mayor Greg Paquin called it a big opportunity. Village Administrator Monique Chatland is also involved. She is helping with the proposal.
