NFL Draft 2025: Surprising Picks and Big Moves
Fri Jan 31 2025
The NFL Draft is getting more exciting as we approach 2025. The future of the league is being shaped by the East-West Shrine Game and the Senior Bowl. Recent mock drafts are filled with unexpected changes.
Abdul Carter, a defensive end from Penn State, is suddenly a top pick. He had a great season with 23. 5 tackles for loss and 12 sacks. In the College Football Playoff semifinal against Notre Dame, Carter played through pain and still made a big impact. The Titans could benefit greatly from him.
Travis Hunter, from Colorado, is another standout player. He played both wide receiver and cornerback. Offensively, he had 1, 258 yards and 15 touchdowns, while defensively, he had 36 tackles and four interceptions. The Browns might use him on both sides of the ball.
The Giants need a quarterback, and Cam Ward from Miami could be their guy. He led the nation with 39 passing touchdowns and 4, 313 yards. Pairing him with Malik Nabers could bring some excitement back to the Giants.
Mason Graham, a defensive tackle from Michigan, could be a great addition for the Patriots. He had 45 tackles, 7 tackles for loss, and 3. 5 sacks. His defensive skills could be a big help for New England.
Tyler Warren, a versatile tight end from Penn State, could join the Jaguars. He had 104 catches for 1, 233 yards and eight touchdowns. He can also run and pass, making him a versatile player for the Jaguars.
Ashton Jeanty, a running back from Boise State, had a great season with 2, 601 yards and 29 touchdowns. The Raiders might pick him to add power to their offense, which already has Brock Bowers.
Shedeur Sanders, a quarterback from Colorado, had a great season with 4, 134 yards and 37 touchdowns. The Jets might pick him up, especially with Aaron Rodgers’ future in question.
Jalon Walker, an edge rusher from Georgia, had 60 tackles, 10. 5 tackles for loss, and 6. 5 sacks. The Panthers could use him to help both offense and defense.
Tetairoa McMillan, a wide receiver from Arizona, had 1, 319 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. The Saints might pick him to give Derek Carr a top option.
Will Campbell, an offensive lineman from LSU, could help protect the Bears’ quarterback Caleb Williams. He was a consensus All-American and could start at multiple positions.
The draft continues with various other picks, including Armand Membou from Missouri and Tyler Booker from Alabama. The NFL Scouting Combine in late February will be the next big event, giving us more insight into the prospects.
The 2025 NFL Draft will take place in Green Bay, Wisconsin, from April 24-26. This event will shape the future of the league, with many exciting picks and moves to come.
