Nick Barrotta Joins Untitled Entertainment After Success on The Oval

Barrotta, who first gained fame playing Allan in Tyler Perry’s BET series The Oval, has just signed with Untitled Entertainment. The actor’s career began in New York where he balanced journalism gigs at Entertainment Tonight, Celebuzz and The Wrap before moving into acting. He appeared in over a hundred episodes of the political drama, which follows the inner life of the White House and its First Family. The show’s creator, Tyler Perry, wrote all episodes and directed most of them, helping Barrotta become a regular in 2021. Season seven will air later this year, and the actor has already filmed a large portion of it.In 2025 Barrotta landed a supporting role in Perry’s film Duplicity, which topped the global charts on Prime Video. He portrayed “Sam, ” a key character in a legal thriller about a high‑profile lawyer tackling a shooting case. Barrotta’s television résumé also includes two seasons on Divorce Court, where he served as bailiff and court reporter alongside Judge Lynn Toler. Before acting, Barrotta interviewed celebrities such as John Legend and Taraji P. Henson for The Wrap’s “Drinking with the Stars. ” He also modeled for brands like Perry Ellis, New Balance and Muscle Pharm. Now based in New York, Barrotta looks forward to new projects under Untitled Entertainment while keeping his roots in the entertainment industry.
