Waking up to the sounds of Mario coins and Pikmin chirps, courtesy of Nintendo's latest gadget – the Alarmo clock. Priced at $100, this innovative alarm clock is creating a buzz online for its unique features and timing. Nintendo fans have been eagerly waiting for news about the Switch 2, and the company certainly surprised everyone by unveiling an alarm clock instead. Alarmo is designed to turn off when you get out of bed, but it struggles with multiple people sharing the same bed. The sensor can’t tell who’s getting up, which leads to some comical situations.
Pre-orders have already sold out, and users are trying to make a profit by reselling Alarmo on eBay. The internet is having a field day discussing Alarmo’s quirks, from its couple dilemma to its name and launch timing. Interestingly, the device was born out of a desire to use motion sensor technology in a new way. Despite considering game elements, Nintendo chose not to gamify sleep to avoid disrupting natural sleep habits. However, one prototype had a rhythm-based feature that sadly didn’t make the final cut.
