Nothing's New Headphones: What We Know So Far
Sun Jun 29 2025
Nothing, a company known for its unique tech designs, is about to launch its first over-ear headphones. These headphones are set to hit the market on July 1, alongside the Nothing Phone (3). The company has been tight-lipped about the details, but some specs have been leaked.
The headphones weigh 329g, which is heavier than the Sony WH-1000XM6 but lighter than the Apple AirPods Max. Nothing claims these headphones will outperform the AirPods Max, but only time will tell. The sound quality is expected to be top-notch, thanks to the 40mm drivers and a partnership with KEF, a British company known for its high-end audio equipment.
Battery life is a big selling point. With ANC off, you get up to 80 hours of playback. Turn ANC on, and that drops to 35 hours. If you use the LDAC codec, the numbers change to 54 hours with ANC off and 30 hours with ANC on. That's a significant drop, but still impressive.
These headphones come packed with features. Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair, Dual Connection, LED charging status, low lag mode, personal sound profile, and Find My Device are all included. It's a lot, but will it be enough to compete with the big players in the market?
