The armed civilian who helped take out two terrorists that killed at least seven people in Tel Aviv on Tuesday has been identified as a survivor of the Nova Music Festival in southern Israel on October 7. According to reports, Lev Kreitman, an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reservist, sprang into action along with authorities during the deadly shooting that rattled the bustling Israeli city. Kreitman, who heads Israel's own version of the Burning Man festival called Midburn, was sitting nearby with a drink when he heard gunfire. Due to his status in the IDF, he had a handgun with him and raced towards the danger. The two terrorists got off the train and immediately started shooting at people on the platform, killing at least seven people and wounding at least nine more.
Both gunmen were killed during the shooting, which occurred shortly before Iran began launching missiles at the Jewish state. Israel's Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said the attackers came from the West Bank city of Hebron. Kreitman's heroics came after he survived the Nova festival when Hamas terrorists descended on the event, killing and kidnapping Israelis on October 7, 2023. He also fought in Gaza over the last year. Footage circulating on WhatsApp shows Kreitman, who has long hair in a bun, firing his handgun. Other clips online show him walking behind uniformed IDF soldiers at the scene. Kreitman was in the news earlier this year when he brought a wooden sign with the names of five Midburn community members killed either at the Nova festival or fighting Hezbollah to Burning Man in Nevada's Black Rock City.
