Oil, Fed, and Nvidia Views Point to Caution

The finance picture looks cautious right now. The strongest current lean is against WTI crude oil reaching the stated high in the target month. That makes the oil view bearish, not bullish. There is little sign that people currently seem to think the opposite will happen.

The Federal Reserve view is also tight. No cuts are favored during the first benchmark period, and a cut at the next stated meeting does not look likely. The final listed meeting is divided, with only a slight tilt toward a rate decrease.

The Bank of England is seen as staying put. A rate cut after the stated meeting is overwhelmingly not favored. Holding interest rates unchanged is the clear favorite, so the mood there is stable and cautious.

Company expectations are more focused. Nvidia is the clear favorite to be the market-cap leader at the stated deadline, while Microsoft and Apple are not favored for that position. Anthropic also shows a split path: an IPO by the first deadline seems unlikely, but an IPO by the later deadline looks clearly more likely.
