Oklahoma Boy's Disappearance Raises Serious Concerns

In a troubling turn of events, the mother and stepfather of a 12-year-old boy from Oklahoma have been arrested on suspicion of child abuse. The boy, Ryan Davis, has been missing for over a week, and his disappearance is considered suspicious. Ryan, also known as RJ or Ryker, was last seen on January 2 in Chickasha. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) has joined the search, and the boy's mother, Kimberly Cole, and stepfather, George Cole, were taken into custody late Wednesday night. During their interrogation, authorities discovered evidence suggesting that Ryan had been subjected to harm while living with his parents. Hunter McKee, an OSBI spokesperson, described the situation as "not a safe environment" for the child. The parents are currently in custody at the Caddo County Jail, but formal charges have not yet been filed.The search for Ryan has intensified, with a $5, 000 reward offered for any information leading to his safe return. Authorities are utilizing drones, canines, and other resources to scour a rural area between Caddo and Grady counties. Despite numerous tips, Ryan has not been found. However, investigators believe he is still alive and are committed to locating him. This is not the first time Ryan has gone missing, but the circumstances surrounding his previous disappearance remain unclear. Law enforcement has been in contact with the state's human services department to ensure Ryan receives the necessary medical and emotional care if found. Chickasha Chief Goebel Music emphasized the urgency of the situation, stating that the boy must be removed from the harmful environment. Before their arrest, Kimberly Cole expressed gratitude to those involved in the search, stating that they simply want their son back home.
