Ole Miss QB's Injury: A Risky Call by Kiffin
Dawgs vs Rebels, USASun Nov 10 2024
In college football, coaches make tough decisions. Take Lane Kiffin, for example. He's leading the Ole Miss Rebels against the Georgia Bulldogs. Earlier this season, the Rebels took a beating, losing 52-17. This time, Kiffin wants a different outcome. But he's walking a thin line with his quarterback, Jaxson Dart.
Dart hurt his ankle early in the game. Most coaches would bench him. Not Kiffin. He sent Dart back in. The problem? Dart's injury got worse. The quarterback limped off the field with a re-aggravated ankle. Ouch!
Kiffin's gamble could cost Ole Miss big time. If Dart's out, the Rebels might lose. Their backup quarterback, Austin Simmons, isn't a sure thing. He's only thrown one touchdown in this game.
Meanwhile, Georgia's quarterback, Carson Beck, isn't shining either. He's thrown for 109 yards with no touchdowns. But he's facing a tough Ole Miss defense. Kiffin's team is up 22-10. Georgia's luck might be running out.
Kiffin's defense is the star of the show. They're holding Georgia to just 109 rushing yards. Ole Miss has 263. That's a big difference! If Dart can stay in the game, Ole Miss might win. But at what cost?

questions
Is it wise for Lane Kiffin to risk Jaxson Dart's health by allowing him to play with an injury, potentially jeopardizing Ole Miss's chances in the game?
Shouldn't Lane Kiffin have a backup plan that doesn't involve 'throwing the QB under the bus' literally?
Is Kiffin intentionally pushing Dart to play through injury to send a message to the Dawgs?
