Olivia Nuzzi Leaves New York Magazine Amidst Undisclosed Relationship

Olivia Nuzzi, a well-known Washington correspondent, has left her position at New York magazine. This departure comes after she was placed on leave for not disclosing a personal relationship with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. , a subject she had written about. The magazine reviewed her work and found no inaccuracies or bias. However, they decided it was best for both parties to part ways. Nuzzi’s lawyer stated that two separate investigations confirmed her reporting was solid. Nuzzi had been with New York magazine for almost eight years, producing popular and acclaimed journalism. Her profile of Kennedy, which included a hike, was published in November 2023. The relationship became personal the following month and ended in August. She apologized for not disclosing the relationship earlier. In a separate issue, Nuzzi accused her ex-fiancé, Ryan Lizza, of harassment and blackmail after their breakup due to her relationship with Kennedy. Lizza denied these allegations and stated that Nuzzi’s actions had led to the failure of their book project about the 2020 election. Both were placed on leave by their respective publications as investigations continue.
