Packers fans are in for a treat this weekend in Denver. The weather is expected to be perfect for a football game, much like what they'd experience back home in Green Bay during fall. The temperature will hover around 62 degrees with plenty of sunshine.
Before the big game, fans can enjoy a pep rally at Wally's Wisconsin Tavern. This free event kicks off at 4 p. m. on December 13, with festivities and giveaways. The main event starts at 6 p. m. and will be hosted by Rebecca Zaccard. Fans can look forward to appearances by Packers alumni Lynn Dickey and Paul Coffman. There will also be a roundtable discussion featuring Wes Hodkiewicz, Mike Spofford, and John Kuhn.
The Packers are playing a crucial game against the Broncos. Currently, they are leading the NFC North, just half a game ahead of the Chicago Bears. A loss could make their upcoming games against the Bears, Ravens, and Vikings even more critical.
Empower Field, where the game will be held, is quite a distance from Lambeau Field—1, 092 miles to be exact. It's located 23 miles southwest of Denver International Airport. The stadium has its perks, like being surrounded by bars, breweries, and restaurants, but it's also starting to show its age.
Fans can catch the game on CBS at 3:25 p. m. CT. For those who prefer to stream, the CBS Sports app and Paramount+ are good options. Radio broadcasts will be available on the Packers Radio Network, with Wayne Larrivee and Larry McCarren calling the game.
Denver is a much larger market compared to Green Bay. The Denver metro area has around 3 million people, while Green Bay's metro area is the smallest in the NFL with just over 328, 000 people.
