Researchers found that when parents read health-related texts, they couldn't tell if a doctor or ChatGPT wrote them. In fact, sometimes they thought ChatGPT's information was even more trustworthy and accurate.
Why is this happening? Experts think it's because ChatGPT gives quick and easy-to-understand answers. But is this a good thing? Not always. ChatGPT might give wrong or unsafe advice. It can't know your child's specific needs like a real doctor can.
So, what should parents do? They should use trusted online medical sources or talk to a real healthcare professional. Don't rely on AI alone for your child's health.
