Ever thought about how patients with cancer feel about using smart computer systems, or artificial intelligence, in their care? This is a big deal because cancer can take a real emotional toll on people. While some studies have found that patients are generally okay with AI in medical care, no one has really dug deep into how cancer patients specifically feel about it. Imagine that – dealing with a tough disease and then having to figure out how you feel about a robot helping with your treatment! It's a bit like choosing between a human doctor and a super-smart computer. Some people might be cool with it, but others could have some concerns. Like, who's watching the AI? Is it going to make mistakes? These are questions that need answering if we want to make sure AI is used in the best way possible for cancer patients.
