This follows the release of Part I by about a year. The remastered version already drew attention on PlayStation 5 earlier this year. Reviewer Francesco De Meo, writing for Wccftech, praised it highly, saying it’s the best way to experience Naughty Dog’s survival horror masterpiece. The new version comes with exciting additions like the No Return roguelike mode, cut levels, developer commentary, and cool display modes for a crisp 4K experience. Yet, the core story remains as divisive as ever, sparking debate like it did on PlayStation 4. But beyond that controversy lies one of the greatest survival horror games of all time.
For PlayStation 5 Pro owners, the enhanced version is already a reality. But for PC gamers, this could be the definitive edition - if it avoids the pitfalls of Part I’s PC port.
