PGA Awards 2025: What You Need to Know
Los Angeles, USAFri Jan 17 2025
The Producers Guild of America just revealed their nominees for the 2025 PGA Awards. After two delays due to the Los Angeles wildfires, the list is finally out. For the top film prize, the Darryl F. Zanuck Award, movies like "Anora" and "Dune: Part Two" are in the running. On the TV side, shows like "Abbott Elementary" and "The Diplomat" are up for awards. The ceremony will happen on February 8, 2025, at the Fairmont Century Plaza.
The PGA Awards also honor special achievers. This year, Chris Meledandri, Dana Walden, Taika Waititi, and Lynda Obst and Paula Weinstein will receive special awards. For animated films, "Flow" and "Moana 2" are nominated. In the documentary category, "Gaucho Gaucho" and "Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story" are contenders.
The PGA Awards celebrate the best in film and TV production. They recognize both big-budget movies and smaller, independent projects. The awards also highlight the work of producers, who often don't get as much attention as directors or actors.
