Pickens Back on the Field: Pittsburgh's Key Receiver Set for Christmas Showdown
Pittsburgh, USAWed Dec 25 2024
Great news for Pittsburgh Steelers fans! After a three-game absence due to a hamstring injury, star receiver George Pickens is all set to make a comeback. He's been declared fit to play against the Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas Day. Pickens has been a standout player for the Steelers this season, leading the team with 55 catches and 850 yards, along with three touchdowns.
Initially, Pickens was limited in practice on Sunday but quickly ramped up to full participation by Monday and Tuesday. This is a much-needed boost for the Steelers, as they prepare to face a tough opponent in the Chiefs.
Meanwhile, the team's quarterback, Justin Fields, is still questionable due to an abdominal injury. He was limited in practice on Monday and Tuesday. Two other players, cornerback Joey Porter Jr. and receiver Ben Skowronek, are ruled out for the game due to knee and hip injuries, respectively.
On the bright side, defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi, cornerback Donte Jackson, and safety DeShon Elliott, who were all previously injured, are now off the injury report and expected to play.
