Pink Power: A Day for Breast Health in Sauk Valley

On October 11, a special gathering will take place to highlight breast cancer awareness. From 10 a. m. to noon, the community is invited to join in at 1609 First Ave. , Rock Falls. This is the second time this event is happening, and it's all about learning and support. Several groups will be there, like Pink Heals Sauk Valley and HOPE Cancer Wellness Center. Birdies Fore Boobies will also be present, and they will be giving money to HOPE and Pink Heals. There will be snacks, small gifts, and a chance to schedule a mammogram for the year. The main idea is to remind women in Sauk Valley to get their mammograms done every year. It's a simple step that can make a big difference.
