Pittsburgh Sports: Who's Really to Blame?
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania USA,Tue Nov 25 2025
Thanksgiving is around the corner, and Pittsburgh sports teams have a lot to be thankful for—or maybe not. The Steelers' recent loss has everyone talking, but other teams are also struggling. Let's take a closer look.
Pat Narduzzi, the Pitt football coach, made a questionable call during a game against Georgia Tech. With his team up by 14 points, he decided to try a fake punt. It didn't work out, and Georgia Tech scored on the next play. Narduzzi admitted it was a bad decision, but luckily, his team still won. Hopefully, he won't make any more risky calls like that.
The Penguins are also having a tough time. They've only won two games in November and have lost all five of their overtime and shootout games. Their coach, Muse, said they need to stop giving away points. It's clear they need to step up their game.
Pitt basketball isn't doing much better. They lost to Quinnipiac, a team from a smaller conference. With three losses already, they need to improve fast. The women's team isn't doing much better, either. They lost to a Division III school but bounced back with a couple of wins.
The Pirates' front office is trying to change the narrative about the team. They've been leaking information to national writers about their interest in big-ticket free agents. But so far, they haven't made any moves. Pirates fans are getting tired of the team's inactivity.
It's easy to blame the coaches and players, but maybe the real issue is the front office. They need to make some changes if they want to win over the fans.
