Power Outage Check in Baton Rouge
Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USAThu Jun 18 2026
When storms roll through Baton Rouge, many people worry about losing electricity. Two big companies supply power to the area: Entergy and DEMCO. Both have online tools that let residents see where outages are happening in real time.
To use Entergy’s map, go to their website. Green lines show neighborhoods still powered; red lines indicate outages. If you type your address into the search box at the top, the map will zoom to that spot. You can also click and drag the screen or use the mouse wheel to explore. By clicking the links on the left side, you can see how many people are without power in each parish or ZIP code.
DEMCO offers a similar map. Green zones mean power is on, while red means it’s out. Enter your address in the top left search box and you’ll see the map adjust. Drag or zoom with the plus/minus buttons or mouse wheel to look at different areas. On the right side, a list shows how many customers in each parish are affected; clicking the header lets you switch to ZIP‑code view.
Both maps also give estimates for when power will be back. If you’re worried, check the website before heading out or while you’re inside. Knowing whether your neighbors are still lit can help you plan better and stay safe during a storm.
