Production Stopped as Reality Star Faces Legal Trouble
Draper, Utah, USATue Mar 17 2026
The new season of a popular reality show has been put on hold after one of its stars, Taylor Frankie Paul, is under investigation for alleged domestic violence. The show’s producers confirmed that filming has been paused while the situation is sorted out, saying they will wait for the outcome before deciding what to do next.
Police reports indicate that accusations have been made by both parties involved, and officials reached out to the people concerned in late February. No extra information about what happened has been released publicly.
Paul and her former partner, Dakota Mortensen, have a child together and their relationship has been unstable over the past two years. They briefly separated in 2023 after an incident where a chair was thrown, striking their daughter instead of the intended target. At that time Paul was taken into custody and charged with misdemeanor assault, property damage, and domestic violence in the presence of a child.
She later told listeners on a popular podcast that the charges were dropped, and she also promoted her new season of another dating show. Despite the legal troubles, the couple had briefly reconciled in 2023 before parting ways again.
The reality star’s fellow cast members have expressed discomfort with her involvement, saying they do not want to be linked to the controversy. They hope that the show can move forward without her presence.
