Prologue’s New TV Boss: Ken Segna Joins the Crew
Los Angeles, USATue Mar 24 2026
Prologue Entertainment, a fresh player in film and TV that made Netflix hits like Zero Day and A House of Dynamite, has just hired a new head for its television side. The studio’s newest senior hire is Ken Segna, who will steer all TV development and help grow Prologue’s series lineup and creative partners.
Segna comes with a strong background in TV. He most recently led television at Lee Daniels Entertainment, where he managed a team that packaged shows for 20th Television and sold projects to major networks such as FX, Hulu, Starz, ABC, Disney+, and Onyx. Before that, he was an executive at MRC Television, where he helped develop and sell series like The Terminal List, Poker Face, and The Shining Girls.
His earlier career began at Starz, where he oversaw the creation of popular originals like Power. He also produced music videos and commercials, and made a documentary about Levon Helm. Segna earned a degree in Symbolic Systems from Stanford and later completed an MFA in Film Production at USC.
Prologue, founded this year by Lloyd Braun, Sarah Bremner and Noah Oppenheim, is still building its team. Segna will report to co‑founder Sarah Bremner and join other new hires such as Creative Executive Quinn Wilcox, who has experience at UCP and 3AD, and Director of Creative Affairs Sammy Rosenthal, who spent nearly seven years at 51 Entertainment.
The studio is backed by Jeff Zucker and RedBird Capital Partners. It has already signed first‑look deals for film and TV with The Atlantic and bestselling spy author David McCloskey, aiming to broaden its creative output.
With Segna’s arrival, Prologue is positioning itself as a full‑service studio that can produce compelling series and films for a wide range of audiences.
