Putin's War: A Standoff with No Clear End in Sight
UkraineThu Nov 27 2025
The peace deal for Ukraine's war has changed again. It started as a 28-point plan, then became a 19-point plan. The US and Ukraine have been talking and made some changes. Now, Ukraine says the new deal is okay, but Russia is not happy. The US is sending someone to talk to Putin about it.
Putin wants Ukraine to give up some land. He thinks this war is very important for Russia's future. He is not in a hurry. He thinks in terms of centuries, not days or weeks. The US wants the war to end soon, but Putin does not care about their deadlines.
Ukraine is not sure if this peace deal will work. They think Putin will not stop until he gets what he wants. Even if Ukraine gives up some land, Putin might not be happy. He wants Ukraine to be weak and friendly to Russia. But Ukraine is becoming stronger and more anti-Russia.
Russia is slowly taking more land in Ukraine. But it is costing them a lot of soldiers and money. It might take Russia until 2027 to take the rest of the Donbas region. Putin thinks he is winning, so he will keep fighting.
Putin is healthy and can stay in power until 2036. He might keep fighting in Ukraine for a long time. No one knows what will make him stop. The US and Ukraine are not sure what to do. They are waiting to see what happens.
