Putting Consumers First: A New Era for Accountability

In the era of increased awareness and scrutiny, it's no surprise that the role of a state attorney general has garnered more attention than ever before. As Colorado's attorney general, I'm proud to be carrying on a legacy of protecting consumers and standing up to Big Tech, just as Vice President Kamala Harris has done. Our administration is committed to tackling irresponsible companies that artificially inflate prices, including an investigation into big oil's alleged collusion with foreign nationals to hike gas prices. We're taking a hardline approach, working tirelessly to protect consumers and workers from companies that flaunt the law. One of my top priorities as attorney general is to take on companies that deceive, exploit, or mistreat consumers. Whether it's Big Pharma, tech giants, or corporate landlords, we're not afraid to take on anyone who puts profit over people. In recent years, we've taken on several companies, including RealPage, which enabled collusion that raised rent costs for thousands of Coloradans. We've also prevailcd in our antitrust case against Google and are leading a coalition of 38 state AGs to hold them accountable for their monopoly power. Vice President Harris has a proven track record of fighting for consumers, from making insulin affordable to addressing the rising cost of healthcare. As we work to create an economy that benefits all Americans, not just the wealthy few, we're committed to protecting working families and ensuring they're not exploited by those who would skirt the law. In this critical election season, we have the opportunity to elect a president who shares our commitment to accountability, fairness, and consumer protection.
