A fresh face joins the cast of an upcoming crime movie. Rachel Sennott, known for her sharp writing and acting, will play a supporting role in "Kockroach. " The film teams her up with Chris Hemsworth, Taron Egerton, Zazie Beetz and Alec Baldwin. Directed by Matt Ross, the movie blends crime drama with a twist of fantasy.
Set in New York, the story follows an outsider who rises through the city's shady underworld. Inspired by a book by William Lashner, the script takes a wild turn by borrowing from Franz Kafka's "Metamorphosis. " The twist? The lead character becomes a cockroach. This adds a surreal layer to the crime tale.
Sennott isn’t stepping away from her TV projects for long. She’s leading the writers’ room for HBO’s hit "I Love LA, " which is set to film soon. Her role in "Kockroach" is expected to be brief. She’s also busy behind the scenes, co-creating and producing Netflix’s "Big Mistakes" with Dan Levy. Plus, she’s co-writing "The Heidi Fleiss Story, " starring Aubrey Plaza.
Her filmography already includes hits like "Shiva Baby, " "Bodies Bodies Bodies, " and "Bottoms. " She recently starred in A24’s "The Moment" at Sundance. With so many projects, how does she balance it all?
