Bakersfield, California, USAThu Jan 02 2025
Gear up, racing fans! The legendary Kevin Harvick is zooming back into action in 2025. After winning the NASCAR Cup Series in 2014 and notching 60 victories, Harvick is gearing up for a super exciting return. He'll be jumping into the Super Late Model field at the SPEARS CARS Tour West season opener on January 25, 2025, right at his own Kern Raceway in Bakersfield, California.
Harvick isn't just a co-owner of the CARS Tour, he's a passionate racer at heart. He's thrilled to be back on the track and is really hyped about the West Coast racing scene. "Being back behind the wheel is fantastic, " said Harvick. The season opener won't just be about Harvick, though. Fans can expect thrilling races in the Limited Pro Late Models and MMI Legends Tour West. Even the ARCA Menards Series West will kick off their season, making it a jam-packed weekend.
And guess what? Dale Earnhardt Jr. is also revving up for a comeback! He'll be racing at the zMAX CARS Tour debut at Cordele Motor Speedway in Georgia on April 12. Earnhardt Jr. is looking forward to this new challenge, and so are his fans. The race will feature Late Model Stock Cars and Pro Late Models, part of an effort to revive the local racing scene.
While Harvick and Earnhardt Jr. are making fans happy with their comebacks, another big news is Harvick's son, Keelan. This 12-year-old is already making waves in kart racing. In 2024, he won seven victories and a championship title at the Legend Car Asphalt Nationals. Harvick revealed that Keelan will be competing in eight to twelve Limited Late Model races in 2025, and they might even race together! It's great to see the next generation getting into the sport.
