Rainy Night Cuts Short Football Fun

South Carolina, Columbia, USASat Aug 16 2025

The skies opened up and poured on the football plans of many teams in the Midlands. Lightning and heavy rain made it impossible to finish the games at W. J. Keenan, River Bluff, and Chapin.

"It was a bummer for players and fans alike, but at least some teams got to play before the weather turned nasty."

Richland One Sertoma Jamboree Kicks Off

The Richland One Sertoma Jamboree saw A. C. Flora and Eau Claire kick off the evening. A. C. Flora looked sharp, winning their game 27-0.

"Not a bad way to start the season, right?"

But for others, the night ended early, and they'll have to wait for their chance to shine.

SCISA Schools Adapt to Weather

While most teams were at their jamborees, some SCISA schools decided to skip the whole thing and start their season early.

"Smart move, considering the weather! It's all about adapting, isn't it?"

Mother Nature Intervenes

Football season is supposed to be exciting, but Mother Nature had other plans. Maybe next time, the weather will cooperate, and all the games can go as scheduled. Until then, teams will have to make the best of it and get ready for the regular season.

"It's a reminder that sometimes, things don't go as planned. But that's okay! It's all part of the game."
