Raj Singh and RP1 Launch €100M Fund to Boost Italy's Film Industry

A new €100 million film fund has launched in Italy, aiming to support local and international productions shooting in the country. The One Media Capital Fund was introduced at the Rome MIA Market's European Investment Hub, a space designed to help industry professionals explore various financing options. The fund targets production companies and distributors needing financial backing during different stages of filmmaking.

Italy's audiovisual sector generates over €2.24 billion annually, but many companies struggle with cash flow due to delayed tax credits and regional funding. This gap makes it hard for them to stay competitive. The new fund seeks to fill that void by offering tailored financing solutions that work alongside traditional bank loans.

The initiative is backed by Raj Singh of Media Capital Technologies and Italy's RP1 Holding, led by Mauro Martani, a former executive at Wildside. RP1 has previously supported major films like "Conclave," "House of Gucci," and "The Equalizer 3." Their combined experience gives the fund a strong foundation in both finance and entertainment.

Martani emphasized that production companies need more than creative skills—they need practical financial tools. Singh added that the Italian market offers great potential, and this fund brings a specialized approach that blends financial stability with deep industry knowledge. Together, they hope to create a system that helps projects move forward faster and opens doors for future investments.

By bridging the gap between creative ambition and financial reality, the One Media Capital Fund could reshape how films get made in Italy. It offers a fresh path for indie filmmakers and distributors who often face long waits for government-backed funds. With international capital flowing in, the partnership aims to fuel growth and bring more stories to life on screen.
