Rams Receiver Demarcus Robinson Faces DUI Charge
Los Angeles, USAFri Jan 10 2025
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Demarcus Robinson is in hot water. He's been charged with a single count of misdemeanor DUI, confirmed by the Los Angeles City Attorney's office. This news comes after he was caught driving at over 100 mph in a white Dodge sedan on the US-101 northbound in November. Officers spotted signs of alcohol impairment during the arrest.
Robinson will face an arraignment later in February. This news breaks just days before the Rams are set to host the Minnesota Vikings in the wild-card playoff game on Monday night.
When Robinson was initially arrested in November, the Rams didn't suspend him. Head coach Sean McVay commented that the team would let the legal process play out and wait for the league's disciplinary actions. McVay also expressed that he considered the incident a poor choice rather than reflective of Robinson's character. He hoped the team could learn from it and avoid such situations in the future.
Robinson, 30, is a key player for the Rams. He started all 17 regular-season games and leads the team with seven touchdown receptions. He's also fourth on the team in both receptions (31) and receiving yards (505).
