Ravens' Humphrey: Change is Coming, Offseason Will Tell Our Fate
Baltimore, USAWed Jan 22 2025
Marlon Humphrey, a cornerback for the Ravens, had a clear message after their season-ending loss to the Bills: this team is done. Humphrey, who is also facing free agency like many of his teammates, said that some players will stay, and some will go. He's not sure what the future holds for him or the team. "We lost. Get over it, " Humphrey stated, looking ahead to the offseason.
The Ravens have had a lot of success since Lamar Jackson joined the team, with a 78-38 regular-season record. However, their playoff failures have been frustrating. This offseason, the team will focus on keeping up their winning streak while trying to finally make it past the postseason hump.
Patrick Ricard, the Ravens' fullback, believes it's inevitable that Jackson will win a Super Bowl, but he might not be there to see it. Ricard and other key players like left tackle Ronnie Stanley, left guard Patrick Mekari, and cornerback Brandon Stephens are all facing free agency. The team might also let other players go for salary cap reasons.
Humphrey isn't the only one looking at an uncertain future. Many Ravens players are in the same boat, waiting to see how the offseason shakes out. With so many changes on the horizon, the team's fans and players alike are eager to see what the future holds.
